where body image
Meets social justice
Body Justice
Body Justice is a community‑driven not-for-profit working to liberate and uplift people marginalised for their bodies by creating accessible support, reshaping systems of care, and fostering pride and belonging.
Together, we reclaim space and take down the oppressive systems that make us smaller in every way. We prioritise the voices who have been sidelined from weight stigma, diet culture and intersecting systems of bodily oppression.
There is no justice until all bodies can feel safe, occupy space, and be celebrated.
We carry shame.
We control our bodies.
And we make ourselves smaller.
not because we are broken

Dismantling body fascism

Creating space for belonging and pride
why we matter
Of the 1.1 million Australians living with a diagnosed eating disorder, there are an unimaginable number who remain further marginalised, undiagnosed and unsupported.
Who are these people?
Why is support so inaccessible?
Why are so many people affected by body fascism?
Body Justice puts marginalised people first to create life-saving communities and systemic change
How you can help
Our organisation has an endless amount of work to do, and we need your help. The founders of Body Justice are marginalised individuals with stories of hope, trauma and strength.
Our stories are important, but they only make up a small fraction of those whose bodies have been placed on the fringe and harmed. We would love to connect to hear what you need, what you want to see, and to share your stories of strength.
